  • CYBER LIABILITY INSURANCE

    According to the CIRA Cybersecurity Survey, 71% of Canadian businesses reported experiencing at least one cyberattack in 2018. Small businesses are particularly vulnerable–recent reports show that despite their size, SMEs comprise roughly two-thirds of all privacy breaches.

    Why? Smaller businesses generally have fewer security provisions. Plus, if you regularly work from home, hackers can take advantage of weak cybersecurity through unsafe home Wi-Fi networks, unencrypted connections, and unprotected devices. As a Staffing & Recruitment Professional, you may even be more attractive to cybercriminals because of your network, third-party connections, and access to confidential client and employee information.

    And when it comes to a breach, data loss is just the tip of the iceberg. The average data breach can cost up to $3.9 million USD. Depending on the damage, your business might also have to pay legal fees, damages, fines and penalties under the PIPEDA Digital Privacy Act, and more–especially if the data lost violates the terms of a client’s NDA.

    Data Security and Cyber Breach Insurance can protect you against these losses by providing you with the resources and support you need to get your business back online, rebuild your reputation, and regain your clients’ trust. A dedicated, standalone cyber policy can help you access:

      • Funds to set up credit monitoring and notification for affected parties;
      • Legal and public relations consulting on how to handle the breach;
      • Business interruption coverage for lost revenue if your agency is unable to use data that has been corrupted or deleted in an attack;
      • A forensic investigation team to help you determine the size and scope of a breach;
      • And much more!

  • D&O INSURANCE

    As the leader of a Staffing Firm, you know how difficult it is to navigate the workplace environment. Employees and Independent Contractors alike can be unpredictable and aggressive–and staff allegations can have a serious impact on your reputation and your finances.

    Unfortunately, today’s society places a harsh spotlight on corporate practices. The consequences for business leaders facing claims of mismanagement are severe. Both your business and personal assets can be at stake. And your company may not be able to reimburse your losses, especially if drawn out litigation drives up your defence costs.

    Directors and Officers Insurance (D&O) can help. It will protect your business leaders and board members if they’re personally sued for any actual or alleged wrongful acts in managing the company.

    With a standalone D&O policy, you’re covered for:

      • Claims of poor governance, failure to act, management errors, financial losses, misallocation of funds, operational failures, statutory liabilities, regulatory non-compliance, and more; Liability and Personal Asset Protection which insures individual Directors and Officers against losses the organization is not legally or financially capable to cover;
      • Corporate Reimbursement and Balance Sheet Protection, which protects corporate assets and reimburses organizations for expenses incurred when defending Directors and Officers;
      • All past, present, future, and non-executive Directors; employees in a managerial or supervisory capacity; shareholders and investors; the supervisory board; and the corporation;
      • Broader Employment Practices Liability coverage for internal employees, along with the ability to purchase higher limits;
      • And more!
  • TRADE CREDIT INSURANCE

    In the Staffing & Recruitment industry, payroll is one of the biggest risks you’ll face doing business with clients. This is largely because you may have to pay T4 employees and Independent Contractors on assignment a salary upfront, while you wait for their employer–your client–to pay their invoice.

    But not all clients will pay at the same time or even pay promptly. And what happens if they miss a payment? Since Accounts Receivable comprises about 40% of a company’s assets, delayed or defaulted payments can harm your cash flow and hamper your ability to fund overhead and meet payroll obligations.

    Trade Credit Insurance can help protect your cash flow by insuring some or all of a customer’s bad debt. Here are some of the top benefits of Trade Credit Insurance for Staffing & Recruitment Firms:

      • Banks will usually consider providing more competitive interest rates to companies that have Trade Credit Insurance. This means you typically have access to increased borrowing power at better interest rates.
      • Trade Credit Insurance provides you with a feature similar to an Equifax/Dun & Bradstreet report which assesses the financial stability of a client or prospect. The Trade Credit Insurance option also provides on-going monitoring of the client or prospect for a full 12 months, providing additional financial intelligence.
      • Business interruption coverage for lost revenue if your agency is unable to use data that has been corrupted or deleted in an attack;
      • Should an insured invoice go past 90 days due, the Trade Credit Insurance company takes over the responsibility of collections. Any monies they collect are returned at 85% (15% remains with the trade credit company for efforts to retrieve monies owed). All monies not collected are returned to you 100%.
  • GROUP BENEFITS

    As a Staffing and Recruitment Professional, you know better than anyone that the success of an organization relies on the well-being of its people. When employees are healthy—when they feel supported by workforce leaders—businesses are resilient in the face of an uncertain future.

    A strong benefits package will help you protect the physical, mental, and financial health of your staff. PROLINK’s Protect & Perfect risk management approach to group benefits will align your agency with a comprehensive program that reflects your staff’s needs, business challenges, and financial goals. With Protect & Perfect, your program will be continuously monitored and modified by a dedicated advisor as your needs evolve to control your benefit costs long-term.

    Invest in your employees’ health and wellness today.
