MCI Canada

Overview on Event Liability Insurance Coverage for MCI Canada Clients

There are 4 ways to provide Event Liability insurance coverage to clients of MCI Canada:

  • MCI Canada contract specifies that its client will be “added as an additional insured” on to the Commercial General Liability policy maintained by MCI Canada.  This is the most cost-effective and simple approach.
  • MCI Canada contract specifies that its client will be “added as an additional NAMED insured” on to the Commercial General Liability policy maintained by MCI Canada.  This is not the recommended approach because it means that MCI’s client has full rights to the coverage under the Commercial General Liability policy maintained by MCI Canada.
  • MCI Canada contract does not mention anything related to MCI Canada providing coverage for its client under the Commercial General Liability policy maintained by MCI Canada.  However, MCI Canada’s client requests that their name be added to the MCI Canada Commercial General Liability policy as an “additional insured”.  This can be accommodated based upon the rates outlined below.
  • MCI Canada contract indicates that its client will be responsible for maintaining Event Liability insurance covering the client’s exposure related to the event managed by MCI.  This approach provides the greatest protection for MCI Canada.
